Welcome to Fravel Brewer Orthodontics!
Whether you are a new patient or we’ve treated several of your kids and you’ve been coming to see us for years, we want you to feel welcome.
We strongly believe all of our orthodontic patients deserve to be informed and educated about their treatment, which is why our team members and our orthodontists spend time with every person who comes to our office, covering each detail and answering any questions that arise.
Finding the best orthodontist for you
There are many factors for orthodontic patients to consider when choosing the best orthodontist in Ocoee.
Office hours: Attending regular appointments is essential to keeping orthodontic treatment on track. Be sure to find a practice that has office hours that work with your schedule. Many of our patients appreciate that we open at 8:00am every day and stay open until 5:30pm four days a week because it allows them a little extra time to come see us before or after school or work.
Location: Consider not just where the office is located, but what time of day you’re most likely going to be driving there. Is it convenient to pick up the kids after school and take them for an appointment? Is it in between school and home or near a grocery store or restaurant so you can take care of dinner along the way?
Fravel Brewer Orthodontics is right off FL-50 E/W Colonial Drive near the Florida Turnpike. We are close to the restaurants and shops at West Oaks Mall and only 5-10 minutes away from several local schools.
Treatment choices: Be sure the orthodontist not only offers the treatment type you want, but also has plenty of experience in successfully using it. We offer a variety of treatment options for kids and adults.
Staff: Orthodontic treatment is not like buying a car, where you really only have to deal with the salesperson once to get what you want. You’re entrusting your or your child’s oral health to the entire staff, so be sure you feel comfortable with them. At Fravel Brewer, we do our best to make every patient visit range from extremely positive to downright fun. You can meet our awesome team here.
Payment options: There are dozens of ways to pay for Invisalign or braces, and different orthodontists offer different options. Make sure the orthodontist you’re considering takes your insurance, accepts your preferred payment method, or allows monthly payments that will fit orthodontic treatment into your budget. Learn how we make Invisalign and braces affordable on our Paying for Treatment page.
Español: Si se siente más cómodo comunicándose en español, asegúrese de encontrar un ortodoncista que hable español. Fravel Brewer tiene varias personas que hablan español en su oficina todos los días.
What orthodontic patients can expect at their first office visit
Your first visit to Fravel Brewer Orthodontics is free and will provide information about what type of treatment may be best for you or your child. You’ll get a chance to meet our team, including one or both of our orthodontists, and we will perform a comprehensive exam before recommending a treatment plan.
If you have dental insurance, be sure to bring it with you so we can confirm how much orthodontic insurance you have and give you an accurate cost for Invisalign or braces.
Please ask any questions you may have during your visit. We know starting treatment is a big decision, and our appointments are scheduled to allow as much time as you need to speak with our staff.
We offer the convenience of same-day starts for those who are ready, but you are under no obligation to start treatment at your first exam, or ever for that matter. If you do decide to move forward at some point, you will have all of the necessary information before you leave our office.
Why you should see an orthodontist
In addition to the fact that we’re a lot of fun to be with, there are even more important reasons for you or your child to see an orthodontist.
Having crooked or misaligned teeth not only affects the way your smile looks, it affects how it functions too. Chewing and speaking can be more difficult, you can experience jaw pain, and your teeth can wear unevenly. These issues can begin to be treated as early as age seven with early orthodontics, and they can be treated well into adulthood.
While many dentists offer some type of orthodontic treatment, their main focus is on keeping your teeth clean and free from cavities or other dental issues. Orthodontists are technically dentists too, but they have additional years of education and have dedicated their careers to creating straighter smiles and healthier bites for orthodontic patients through the use of braces, Invisalign clear aligners, appliances, and retainers.
