Our Way of Saying Thank You
Our orthodontic practice wouldn't exist without our community, which is why we love to give back whenever and however we can.
Here are a few of our favorite ways to serve the residents of Central Florida.
Smile for a Lifetime
Since we’re in the smile business, one of our favorite ways to give back is by participating in Smile for a Lifetime. This program provides braces at a drastically reduced cost to kids who otherwise may not be able to afford treatment.
Not only do members of our community sit on the board of directors for the West Orange branch of this organization, we also provide discounted treatment to six kids each year.
To date, we have helped 36 kids improve their smiles and their self-confidence. In turn, each of these recipients have paid it forward by helping the community in their own way.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this amazing program, click below to review the application process and qualifications.
Meet some of our recipients
Larkin is an avid volunteer taking part in community service at her school, church and events throughout the community. She will pay it forward even more by volunteering at Give Kids the World and also Relay for Life during her time in braces. She hopes to inspire others throughout her time volunteering in order to create a chain reaction of giving.
Ian is from Sendai, Japan and lived through one of the worst tsunamis to hit that region. He helped with disaster relief by providing food and medical supplies for people in need. Now here in the states Ian plans on paying it forward by volunteering at a senior center by playing games with the elderly, reading, and even just carrying out conversations. That sounds like a great plan Ian!
Melanya plans to pay it forward by continuing her work with the "Stars" program. This program provides backpacks and supplies for children qualifying for free lunches in West Orange Public Schools. Keep up the awesome work Melanya!
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity helps people build new houses and refurbish existing one so they can enjoy the joy and pride of homeownership. The Fravel Brewer Orthodontics team was honored to participate in the Women Build Week in 2020 and attend the ribbon cutting ceremony in 2021.
